Q: I want to try out for the school volleyball team but i don't know too much about volleyball. could someone give me tips or drills or something please?
A: I am in the same spot! I asked my coach what i all could do and she told me that i should not worry to much about it, if you worry you play worse and then when you go out for the team the coach will see you at your worst first, and you now that you don't
In case you missed it, the men's volleyball team won the EIVA for the 13th consecutive time last week, beating Springfield in the championship game to earn a spot in the NCAA Final Four, which begins tonight at Rec Hall. ...Volleyballs will be bouncing all night at State College Area High School Jan. 19-20 and by the end of the night the State College Key Club hopes to raise nearly $30,000 for charity.
Key Club President Tina Lu is hoping the 20th annual All Night Volleyball Tournament will be the biggest to date and beat last year’s record of $26,000.
Lu said teams consist of six to nine participants and each person raises at least $110 on top of a $25 entrance fee for the night. Some of this year’s charity recipients have yet to be chosen but Lu said money will be allocated to the YouGoGirls foundation, The Eliminate Project, the local food bank and Habitat for Humanity, specifically to build a house for a family in State College.
